      SysPower - SDAC Shifts to 15-Minute Resolution

      On Tuesday, 30 September, the SDAC settlement for 1 October will be published in 15-minute resolution. This marks a significant step in aligning the market design with European standards for higher granularity in trading and settlement

      Changes on NEMO's Side

      • Publication time: Market results will be available 10 minutes later than today, at 12:55 CET/CEST.
      • Contract structure: Trading continues in 15-, 30-, and 60-minute contracts.
      • Settlement data: Prices, volumes, and flows will now be published in 15-minute resolution.

      Changes in SysPower

      • Spot forecast: Already available in 15-minute resolution.
      • Statistics & fundamentals: Existing spot market-related statistics and fundamental forecasts are already provided in 15-minute resolution and can be tested for system compatibility.
      • New data series: Market data from NEMOs (NordPool, EpexSpot) will be available in the Webquery API as soon as possible.
      • Day-Ahead desktops: Spot Overview, FBMC Overview, Operational Overview, Transmission Overview will shift to 15-minute resolution within 3 working days after launch.
      • Data series naming: No changes to standard series names in the Webquery database. To navigate between intervals, please specify the appropriate code: Most Day-Ahead related data in SysPower is available in these three intervals. For details on formulas and aggregation, please refer to the Info & Help section in SysPower.
        • 15MIN (quarter-hourly)
        • HOUR (hourly)
        • DAY (daily)

      Please note: After the shift to 15-minute resolution, the original data format will be quarter-hourly in MW. Hourly price statistics will therefore be calculated as the average of four consecutive quarter-hours and will also be delivered in MW, not in MWh.

      • Be patient during the first days after launch, as new data series are introduced and stabilized.
